Meet the Scamp



My husband P. and I bought a thirteen-foot 1978 Scamp travel trailer on a whim on my 28th birthday in April 2010. We tore out the shag carpeting and stripped her down to her fiberglass shell, replaced the dodgy water and electrical systems, reupholstered the Elvis-inspired cushions, put down a bamboo floor, and hit the road three months later on a trip that took us some five thousand circuitous miles from the desert of Southern California to coastal Maine.
